Job summary

Select Medical’s Bangor outpatient center is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to warmly greet patients, register them, and coordinate visits. You will balance front-desk tasks with billing and insurance duties to support a smooth patient experience.

The full-time role (Mon–Fri, hours vary) offers $18.00–$21.00 per hour and a chance to contribute to high-quality care in a busy clinic. If you bring friendly communication and healthcare exposure, you’ll thrive on our team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year front desk experience preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about their visit and next appointment at checkout.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Maintain communication with attorneys, insurers, translation services, and internal teams.
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.
