SportsMed Physical Therapy is seeking a Patient Coordinator to join our team in Norwalk and Bridgeport, CT. This role handles front desk duties, scheduling, insurance verifications, data entry, and patient communications to keep our outpatient sports medicine centers running smoothly.

The ideal candidate provides outstanding customer service, works well in a fast-paced setting, and is comfortable multitasking, with bilingual Spanish preferred. Experience in medical offices is a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Strong customer service mindset with professional telephone skills.
• Excellent time management, organization, and attention to detail.
• Experience in a medical/physical therapy front desk setting preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors in person or by phone and answer inquiries.
• Schedule and reschedule appointments to optimize provider time.
• Complete insurance verifications and authorization processes.
• Maintain patient records and confidentiality; ensure data accuracy.
• Keep appointments on schedule; notify providers of delays or arrivals.
• Maintain patient accounts and update personal/financial information.
• Record and collect patient charges; manage third‑party claims.
• Protect patient rights and confidentiality; follow policies.
• Contribute to team goals and front desk operations.
