Job summary

SportsMed Physical Therapy in Northern New Jersey seeks a Patient Coordinator to join our front desk team. You will welcome patients, schedule appointments, verify insurance benefits, and ensure accurate data entry to keep the clinic running smoothly.

Ideal candidates bring superb customer service, multitasking, and organizational skills, with experience in medical offices or PT environments. Bilingual Spanish preferred; benefits include medical, PTO and 401k.

Qualifications

• Must work well in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Experience with EMR systems and Microsoft Office is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in person or by phone.
• Schedule and reschedule appointments to optimize utilization.
• Complete insurance verifications and benefit checks.
• Maintain patient records and confidentiality.
• Notify providers of arrivals and delays; ensure on-time service delivery.
• Maintain patient accounts and handle basic billing information.
• Protect patient rights and confidentiality of data.
• Follow policies and contribute to team goals.
