Job summary

Covenant Hosp Plainview is seeking a Patient Services Specialist to assist patients with on-site registration and arrival for both scheduled and unscheduled visits. You will collect demographic information, insurance details, and patient liability at the time of service.

You will also handle financial clearance on assigned accounts during registration downtime, greet patients professionally, and manage valuables collection while delivering basic customer service in a compassionate manner.

Qualifications

• 6 months of healthcare experience in Business office, Hospital or Medical Office setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients during on-site registration and arrival for scheduled and unscheduled visits.
• Collect accurate demographic information and insurance information.
• Collect patient liability (if known) at the time of service.
• Perform financial clearance functions on assigned accounts during registration downtime.
• Provide basic customer service and handle valuables collection.
• Greet patients in a professional, friendly, and respectful manner.
