Job summary

Rockclifforalsurgery in North Carolina is seeking an experienced patient care coordinator for a fast-paced oral surgery practice. You will be the first point of contact for referrals, handling patient inquiries, scheduling, and guiding patients through the process from start to finish.

The role requires a high school diploma and prior medical/dental office experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR systems, and a willingness to learn new software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and prior experience in a medical or dental office.
• Proven ability to access, input, and retrieve information using Microsoft Office products.
• Comfort with learning new software programs and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Exhibits outstanding customer service with the patient as a number one priority.
• Answers the telephone and directs callers or creates new patient appointments.
• Confirms patients' appointments and provides pre-visit instructions.
• Contacts patients regarding benefits, co-pays, and coverage information.
• Responds to third party payers' requests for information.
• Coordinates benefit verification and self-pay options for new patients.
• Coordinates referrals and radiography with other staff.
