Job summary

EyeCare Partners seeks a Front Office Specialist to be the first point of contact and manage administrative tasks for a smooth check-in/out process. You will deliver world-class Total Patient Experience and greet patients with a smile while handling phones and payments.

The role requires professional interaction with patients, adherence to HIPAA, and ability to coordinate patient flow across the office environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience interacting with customers/patients.
• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Favorable background check as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and execute the Total Patient Experience to build relationships and deliver great service.
• Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter, in person or by phone.
• Greet patients, be professional, and thank them as they leave.
• Answer external and internal phones and ensure prompt, courteous service.
• Manage patient flow, communicate to maximize efficiency and service.
• Check insurance authorizations and build accurate flow sheets.
• Checkout patients and collect payments according to procedures.
• Perform daily reconciliations and close the day, counting cash drawer.
• Comply with HIPAA and company policies; perform general office duties as assigned.
