Job summary

Select Medical in Pasadena, TX is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to be the friendly first point of contact at our outpatient physical therapy center. You will greet and register patients, explain what to expect, and help schedule their visits while supporting front-desk and operations.

This full-time role offers Weekdays 8am–5pm or 9am–6pm, with starting compensation at $16 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 year of front desk experience
• 1 year of medical office experience
• 1 year of scheduling experience
• Preferred: Insurance verification experience
• Preferred: Bilingual

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about visits and next appointments
• Schedule patient appointments in person and by phone
• Regular communication with attorneys, insurance companies, translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications
