Job summary

Select Medical is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to warmly greet patients on arrival, register them, and guide their visit from check-in to check-out. This role handles scheduling and frontline operations in a Butler, PA outpatient center, contributing to smooth patient experiences and accurate insurance-related processes.

The position is full-time with evenings a few times per week and a compensation range of $15.00–$18.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Healthcare experience is preferred.
• At least 1 year of front desk experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and next appointment at check-out.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Maintain communication with external parties (attorney offices, insurance companies, translation services) and internal teams.
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.
