Job summary

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, basic medical terminology knowledge, and strong communication skills. Bilingual preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years medical clerical experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with medical software.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors within the facility.
• Answer incoming calls to the facility.
• Register patients and verify identity, demographics, financial and insurance information.
• Communicate with other business office and clinical departments.
• Open mail and distribute materials.
• Accept and record patient cost share payments.
• Prepare and reconcile daily deposits.
• Maintain a clean and tidy lobby area.
• Verify vendor and visitor sign-in.
• Prepare patient charts.
