The role emphasizes professional communication, basic math, and familiarity with EMR systems while supporting a patient-centric experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Solid knowledge of medical terminology and insurance practices.
• Experience with CPT/ICD-10 coding is preferred.
• BLS certification is a plus.
• Experience in primary care, family practice, internal medicine, urgent care, or ER preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors professionally and warmly.
• Collect and verify patient documents, insurance cards, and authorizations.
• Register patients in the EMR and update records accurately.
• Collect co-pays and reconcile balances at check-in.
• Communicate delays and appointment details clearly to patients.
