Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of customer service experience in a medical office.
• Basic knowledge of CPT procedure coding and ICD-10 coding preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and EMR navigation.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and greet patients/visitors professionally.
• Register new patients and update demographics and financial information.
• Collect co-payments, deductibles and outstanding balances.
• Obtain referrals and authorizations when required.
• Scan and file medical records into the patient chart.
• Assist with scheduling follow-up visits, surgery, and imaging as needed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Support billing with charge entries to ensure timely processing.
