Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
• Two years healthcare front desk experience preferred.
• Able to verify Medicaid/Medicare and commercial insurance.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and visitors in a cordial and friendly manner and directs to the proper department.
• Registers new and established patients and inputs accurate information.
• Schedules appointments and collects co-pays and sliding fee payments.
• Verifies patient benefits and insurance coverage for services.
• Balances money collected for patient services at end of day.
• Answers calls professionally and directs to appropriate department.
• Maintains HIPAA compliance and protects patient confidentiality.
