Job summary

NorthShore Health Centers is looking for a Patient Service Representative to be the first point of contact for patients. You will greet visitors, register patients, schedule appointments and collect co-pays while delivering exceptional customer service.

Your role requires HIPAA compliance, attention to detail, and the ability to explain services and payment options to patients. A high school diploma is required; associate degree is preferred, and prior healthcare experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors warmly and direct them appropriately.
• Register patients and input accurate demographic and insurance data.
• Schedule appointments and manage follow-ups with templates.
• Collect co-pays and sliding fee payments at visit time.
• Verify insurance coverage for billing accuracy.
• Assist with financial screening for uninsured/underinsured patients.
