Job summary

Geode Health is seeking a Practice Assistant (Float) to support multiple Illinois offices—Buffalo Grove, Glenview, Libertyville, Park Ridge, and Skokie. You will handle front-office duties, assist providers, manage patient flow, and ensure a welcoming, efficient experience for patients.

This full-time role emphasizes exceptional customer service, strong time management, and adaptability in a fast-paced outpatient psychiatry setting across several locations.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of medical office or healthcare experience preferred.
• Mental health or outpatient clinical experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and computer skills.
• Comfort answering the phone – a firm expectation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a welcoming first point of contact for patients and provide exceptional customer service.
• Manage front-office activities including schedules, confirmations, cancellations, and waitlists.
• Support providers and clinical staff with administrative needs to keep the practice running smoothly.
• Coordinate patient intake, referrals, authorizations, forms and follow-ups.
• Collect payments and document co-pays, coinsurance and outstanding balances.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
