This is a fast-paced role that requires ownership and a calm, capable approach to multi-tasking in a healthcare setting. You will manage front desk duties, verify insurance, schedule appointments, and support patient referrals, while upholding HIPAA standards and patient privacy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of customer-facing or patient-facing experience.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Comfortable communicating on the phone with upset callers.
• Basic computer skills: emails, scheduling, spreadsheets.
• No medical background required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, professional first impression for patients.
• Manage front desk operations including check-in/out, scheduling, insurance verification, and calls.
• Review and follow up on referrals, update patient records, explain next steps.
• Maintain patient flow by confirming appointments and managing waitlists.
• Collect copays and other payments accurately and reconcile when needed.
• Protect patient privacy and HIPAA compliance in all interactions.
