Job summary

Pacific Neuropsychiatric Specialists is seeking a friendly Medical Office Assistant to greet patients, collect copays, and schedule follow-ups. You will support providers with paperwork and coordinate communications between patients and the medical team. A high-volume environment and strong communication skills are essential.

Requirements include a High School Diploma (College preferred), BLS/CPR (required), and medical facility experience. Medical Assistant certification is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Experience or training in a medical facility is preferred.
  • Friendly, outgoing, people oriented personality.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Telephone and computer skills required.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks under stress.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients with a positive attitude.
  • Check in patients and collect copays.
  • Check out patients and schedule follow ups.
  • Ensure provider schedules are full and call waitlist patients.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments for existing patients.
  • Assist with paperwork and insurance communications.
  • Relay patient messages to providers and relay responses.
  • Respond to calls and voicemails promptly.
  • Be a team player and assist where needed.
  • Flexibility with location coverage; handle a high volume office.
