Job summary

Confluent Health is hiring a Part-Time Care Coordinator to be the frontline voice and face for patients at our Cameron, NC location. This role balances a welcoming patient experience with efficient front desk operations, from check-in to scheduling and payments.

You will help with referrals, patient records, and insurance basics, while maintaining calm, organized, and professional communication across the clinic team. Training is provided, with clear growth paths in leadership roles.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in customer-facing or patient-facing roles preferred.
• Able to manage multiple tasks while staying organized and detail oriented.
• Comfortable communicating on the phone with patience and professionalism.
• Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, professional first impression for patients and visitors.
• Manage front desk operations including check-in/out, scheduling, insurance verification, and phone calls.
• Review and follow up on referrals; update patient records and communicate next steps.
• Maintain patient flow by confirming appointments, managing waitlists, and cancellations.
• Collect copays and other payments accurately with basic reconciliation when needed.
• Protect patient privacy and HIPAA standards in all interactions and documentation.
