Virginia Oral & Facial Surgery is seeking a Patient Service Representative in Midlothian, VA to place patients first and ensure a smooth front-office experience. The role focuses on patient check-in/check-out, managing charts and insurance information, and supporting daily operations in a fast-paced oral surgery environment.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of customer service in a medical setting, knowledge of insurance processes, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of customer service experience is required.
• Experience in a medical or dental practice is required.
• Knowledge of insurance processes and verifications.
• Ability to multitask.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Confirm and update patient identification, demographic, and insurance information.
• Prepare patient charts and documentation for upcoming appointments.
• Perform all check-in and check-out functions, including collecting payments.
• Obtain patient consents/authorizations and process pre-authorizations and referrals.
• Answer calls, document messages, and route inquiries to appropriate personnel.
• Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate patient appointments.
• Maintain accurate and organized medical records.
• Support front-office operations and assist with other duties.
