Job summary

Saint Bernards Medical Center's Matthews First Care location is seeking a Patient Service Representative to greet patients and manage registration, insurance data and clinic policies. This full-time, day-shift position operates M-F, 8a-5p.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least one year in customer service (healthcare receptionist preferred) and the ability to work independently with good judgment and professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one-year experience in customer service setting, preferably six months receptionist experience in health care setting and experience with office equipment.
• Ability to work independently of others and exercise good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and arranges for the efficient and orderly registration of patients.
• Ensure that accurate patient and insurance information is collected and that patients are made aware of clinic policies and procedures.
• Answer telephone and billing questions from patients.
• Process medical records requests, information requests and general patient account functions.
