Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is hiring a Patient Services Associate to ensure excellent patient experiences at the front desk, perform check-in/out, verify insurance, collect payments, and schedule visits. This role supports providers and staff to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The PSA will interact with patients, handle calls, and coordinate communications between patients and the care team while maintaining HIPAA compliance and a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a professional, friendly manner and register/check-in patients; verify demographics and insurance information.
• Collect copayments and outstanding balances; schedule follow-up appointments and provide summaries or referrals as needed.
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments, including diagnostic testing per clinical protocol; communicate changes promptly.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits; obtain pre-authorizations and referrals as required.
• Support office operations, including faxing, scanning, and indexing documents into the medical record.
• Provide compassionate customer service and ensure confidentiality per HIPAA; maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
