Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience.
• Basic computer skills: word processing and data entry.

• Ability to work collaboratively with patients and caregivers to deliver high customer/patient satisfaction.
• Ability to protect privacy and PHI.

Responsibilities

• Provides courteous and professional connections with patients over the phone, in person or via secure messaging.
• Documents all phone calls accurately in the EMR.
• Schedules patient appointments for visits, procedures, tests, referrals, and/or consultations.
• Registers patients by confirming and updating demographic data in the registration system.
• Obtains copies of insurance cards and IDs and verifies information; may include pre-certification.
• Assists patients with forms for regulatory and billing needs; educates on financial assistance; processes payments.
• Stays current on responsibilities and attends meetings to maintain high performance.
