Job summary

Effingham Health System in Georgia seeks a Guest Service Ambassador to deliver exceptional patient and visitor experiences. You will greet and guide patients, families, and staff, initiate check-in, and coordinate handoffs to registration while upholding policies and screen per guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level of Education: Completion of high school required; college-level courses in business/administration are a plus.
• Formal Training: Excellent customer service, strong verbal, and written communication skills; basic office and telephone skills required.

Responsibilities

• Greets and assists patients, visitors, vendors, and staff; provides information and directions.
• Initiates patient check-in and coordinates handoff to registration.
• Monitors waiting areas and provides updates on wait times; escalates concerns to the shift charge nurse as needed.
• Takes part in patient engagement activities and cross-trains with Customer Service Representatives as back-up.
• Maintains professional decorum and adheres to hospital policies and procedures.
