Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking an Ambassador Hospital Concierge to greet and assist patients, visitors and families at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. The role supports wayfinding, transportation coordination, and a welcoming atmosphere throughout the facility.

Requires a high school diploma or GED; an Associate degree is preferred. Working Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM, at 3400 Spruce Street, Philadelphia. Penn Medicine offers competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Greet every patient, family member or visitor with training-based scripting and positive interaction.
• Anticipate and respond to patient, visitor and staff concerns in a timely manner.
• Assist immobile patients in getting in/out of vehicles and wheelchairs safely.
• Manage visitor flow at entrances to ensure timely arrival for appointments.
• Support all wayfinding and coordinate Outpatient transports.
• Collaborate with patients, visitors and staff to deliver coordinated service, including patient transportation.
• Maintain patient safety and prevent falls or incidents for those with special needs.
• Arrange cab calls, paratransit and assist with hotels, restaurants and public transportation.
• Ensure outside vendors check in with Security.

Education

HS Diploma/GED (Required)

Associate of Arts or Science (preferred)
