Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; or at least six months customer service or healthcare experience.
• Preferred: 1 year of administrative experience in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and patient privacy.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and complete check-in procedures.
• Register patients and verify insurance details.
• Collect copays, deductibles and/or balances; process payments.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and communicate at checkout.
• Answer calls and emails from patients and COPC departments.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA policies.
