Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and assist with self-arrival technology or desk check-in.
• Collect copayments and update patient registration information at checkout; schedule follow-up appointments.
• Assist patients with navigation of the MyUPMC portal and promote patient portal registration.
• Verify insurance benefits with the carrier via online systems or phone inquiries and explain financial responsibilities.
• Triage and distribute phone calls, and support administrative tasks such as scanning medical records and faxing.
• Register patients in Biometrics and explain benefits; support administrative duties in the office.
