Job summary

Bela Family Dentistry in South Carolina seeks a Patient Advocate to join our front office team and greet guests with warmth while guiding them through scheduling, billing, and dental insurance interactions.

You will manage the patient journey from inquiry to checkout, support the billing process, and help ensure a personal, stress-free experience in a modern, patient-centered practice.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of patient-facing experience in dental, healthcare, hospitality, or service industry preferred (we will train the right person).
• Comfort with dental practice software (Dentrix experience a plus) and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• The first impression: You are the first voice and face patients see; set the tone for the visit.
• The patient journey: You orchestrate scheduling, new patient inquiries, welcome packets, treatment plan discussions, checkout, and recall.
• The financial relationship: You handle insurance claims, AR, collections, patient statements, self-pay arrangements, and patient financing.
• The follow-through: You follow up on missed appointments and patients not seen in a while to show they matter.
