Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in Seattle, WA seeks a Patient Relations Specialist to serve as the primary liaison between patients, families, and providers, addressing concerns with empathy and ensuring a positive experience.

You will listen to feedback, investigate issues, communicate policies clearly, advocate for patient rights, and collaborate with staff to resolve problems at the point of care, while maintaining composure and a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 5 years related experience in lieu of degree upon hire
• Minimum of 3 years of risk management, patient safety and/or related professional experience
• Minimum of 2 years of experience managing/supervising employees and/or vendors

Responsibilities

• Addresses patient concerns/complaints by interviewing patients or representatives, investigating, and facilitating resolution
• Responds to patient/family grievances and provides clear communication between all parties
• Works with Patient Safety to identify liability issues and facilitate resolution
• Generates reports for documented complaints and grievances
