Job summary

Ocean Health Initiatives seeks a Patient Access Representative (PAR) to support patient registration, scheduling, and financial screening across our New Jersey clinics. This multi-tiered role includes greeting patients, verifying information, handling insurance details, and assisting with eligibility for financial assistance, while ensuring accurate NJIIS and consent forms.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–2 years' EMR experience preferred.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 required.

Responsibilities

• Pre-register and greet patients, ensuring appointment details are reviewed and confirmed.
• Verify and update insurance information and forms.
• Refer patients to Financial Screener for financial assistance follow-up.
• Obtain patient consents (HIPAA, Family Planning, etc.) and NJIIS consent.
• Capture and update patient demographics using Phreesia and NJIIS entries.
• Assist walk-in patients and manage inbound transition documents.
• Handle administrative duties including medical record requests and paperwork.
