Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Patient Educator to deliver disease state education to patients and caregivers, guiding them through education resources and program support. The role focuses on building trust, coordinating access, and collaborating with Neurology and Long-Term Care sales teams to improve patient engagement.

Travel readiness is a possibility. Ideal candidates hold a health-related bachelor’s degree and have 3–5 years of pharma experience in patient education or navigation,

Qualifications

• BS in nursing, social work, psychology, or related healthcare field; advanced degree preferred.
• 3–5 years pharma experience (preferred: patient education, patient navigation, advocacy, or pharmaceutical patient support).
• Knowledge of neurology/psychiatry/movement disorders preferred; Parkinson’s Disease/PDP strongly desired.
• Empathetic, supportive relationship-building; excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening.

Patient Educator

Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-prescription (pre-NBRx) disease state education to patients/caregivers via small group meetings and presentations to advocacy groups, community organizations, and professional societies.
• Provide information on product efficacy, safety, and access support through ACADIA Connect to patients/caregivers enrolled in programs.
• Provide approved educational resources and distribute approved materials to help patients/caregivers understand PDP and discuss NUPLAZID with their doctor.
• Build trusting relationships; provide support throughout the patient journey.
• Coordinate access: collaborate with Patient Access Managers (PAMs) on coverage, reimbursement, and affordability; facilitate referral/transition into ACADIA Connect.
• Partner with Neurology Sales Specialists and Long-Term Care Sales Specialists to ensure community providers know about the Patient Educator resource.
• Respond to inquiries from patients/caregivers, key customers, community organizations, and/or advocacy events.
• Collaborate with community/advocacy/professional groups to support education programs.
• Provide feedback to marketing to improve patient engagement and education initiatives.

Qualifications/Required/Preferred:

Salary Range:

• $109,500–$136,900 USD
