Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Patient Educator to empower patients and caregivers navigating Parkinson’s Disease Psychosis (PDP). You will deliver clear disease-state education, guide early engagement, and support access through ACADIA Connect and PAMs.

You will collaborate with Neurology and Long-Term Care teams to inform community providers, respond to inquiries, and help expand education programs while maintaining patient-centric focus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, social work, psychology, or related healthcare field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 3–5+ years pharma experience; preferred: patient education, patient navigation, advocacy, or pharmaceutical patient support.
  • Knowledge of neurology/psychiatry/movement disorders; Parkinson’s disease or PDP strongly desired.
  • Travel required; ability to drive and travel independently.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-prescription disease state education to patients/caregivers via small group meetings and presentations to advocacy groups, community organizations, and professional societies.
  • Provide product efficacy, safety, and access information via ACADIA Connect for opted-in patients/caregivers.
  • Offer approved educational resources to help patients/caregivers discuss PDP with their doctor.
  • Distribute approved materials to increase awareness of PDP and potential treatment with NUPLAZID.
  • Build trusting relationships with patients/caregivers.
  • Collaborate with PAMs on coverage, reimbursement, and affordability questions.
  • Facilitate referral/transition process into ACADIA Connect.
  • Partner with Neurology and Long-Term Care Sales Specialists to inform community providers of the Patient Educator resource.
  • Respond to inquiries from patients/caregivers, key customers, community organizations, and advocacy events.
  • Collaborate with community/advocacy/professional societies to support education programs.
  • Provide feedback to the marketing team to improve patient engagement.
