Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics seeks a Patient Educator (Parkinson’s Disease Psychosis) to educate patients and caregivers about PDP and NUPLAZID, delivering sessions in groups and at community events.

You will share approved PDP resources, coordinate with PAMs on access questions, and help patients navigate therapy initiation through ACADIA Connect and advocacy networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in nursing, social work, psychology or related healthcare field.
• 3–5 years pharma experience; preferred patient education, patient navigation/advocacy, or pharmaceutical patient support.
• Knowledge of neurology/psychiatry/movement disorders; Parkinson’s Disease/PDP experience strongly desired.
• Empathetic relationship-building; excellent communication/interpersonal/active listening.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-prescription education to patients/caregivers via small groups and presentations to advocacy/community/professional groups.
• Provide information on product efficacy, safety, and access support via ACADIA Connect.
• Share approved educational resources about PDP and NUPLAZID; distribute approved materials.
• Build trusting relationships and support patients/caregivers from early engagement onward.
• Coordinate with Patient Access Managers on coverage, reimbursement, and affordability questions.
• Facilitate referrals and transitions into ACADIA Connect.
• Partner with Neurology and Long-Term Care Sales Specialists; respond to inquiries from patients/caregivers and community/advocacy events.
• Collaborate with community/advocacy/professional organizations; provide feedback to marketing to improve education initiatives.
