Job summary

DCH Health System is seeking a Patient Dining Assistant to guide patients and families through the My Dining meal system, capture dietary choices, and ensure accurate order entry for tray service. You will coordinate with Nutritional Services and nursing to uphold patient satisfaction and dietary accuracy.

The role emphasizes independent work, attention to diet restrictions, and effective communication in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak English and follow instructions.
• Strong customer relations and verbal communication required.
• Experience with IPads and computers is strongly recommended.

Responsibilities

• Pass out menus and instruct patients on My Dining system.
• Accurately process and follow physician diets.
• Read back food orders to patients for confirmation.
• Print and organize meal tickets and trays.
• Maintain safety and patient identifiers per policy.
• Support nursing and Nutritional Services as liaison.
