Job summary

Acadia Healthcare in Murfreesboro, TN is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to oversee meal preparation and service in an institutional setting. Shifts are mornings from 4:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with rotating weekends.

You will coordinate a team responsible for preparing and presenting meals, ensuring dietary orders are followed and service is timely and compliant with health standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two or more years’ experience in food service for institutions (school, hospital, cafeteria).
• Previous supervisory experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee food preparation, portion sizes and the overall presentation of food.
• Ensure delivery of special diets conforms to diet orders.
• May also be directly involved in food preparation and service.
• Coordinate activities of the food services staff to ensure patients are served appropriately and timely.
• Provide guidance and direction to staff and encourage mutual trust and cooperation among team members.
• Responsible for scheduling to ensure the department is staffed appropriately.
• Orient, train and coach new team members on guidelines and policies.
• Inspect supplies, equipment and work areas for health and safety compliance.
• Train, supervise and evaluate food service staff to maintain quality and satisfaction.
• Address complaints regarding food quality or service.
