Job summary

Morrison Healthcare seeks a Patient Food Services Manager to supervise patient meal service operations in a hospital setting in Birmingham, AL. The role reports to Morrison Healthcare’s team and focuses on delivering high-quality patient dining aligned with medical directions.

Requirements include an associate or bachelor’s degree in food service management or related field, and preferred credentials in diet management. Strong leadership and MS Office/EMR skills are needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree with 1 year in food services or a related field or a bachelor’s degree in food service management or related field.
• Certified Dietary Manager, Registered Dietitian, or Registered Dietitian preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of food service management experience, preferably in acute care.

Responsibilities

• Establish goals and oversee patient food service needs based on medical direction and patient population.
• Hire, direct, coach, train and develop patient service team members.
• Ensure compliance with dietary restrictions and diet orders while meeting patient preferences.
• Support patient satisfaction goals and participation in QA/PI programs.
• Adhere to regulatory standards including HIPAA and patient rights policies.

Education

Associate degree or higher in food services/related
