Job summary

The Valley Hospital in Paramus, NJ seeks a Dietary Aide to assist patients with menu selections, explain basic diet information, and deliver meals and nourishments. The role also supports stock and tray service.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, basic computer skills, and at least one year of hospital dietary experience. Excellent customer service and communication with patients are essential.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient selections in the hand held computer per diet orders.
• Assist patients in selecting meals when possible and explain basic diet info.
• Act as liaison between patients and the Food & Nutrition Department.
• Provide tray delivery and nourishments to patients.
• Stock food supplies for nursing units pantries.
• Handle meal service issues and resolve questions.
