Job summary

The Valley Hospital-Paramus (Valley Health System) is seeking a Dietary Aide to enter patient meal selections, assist patients with meal choices, and explain diet information. You will use the CBORD Diet Office System, deliver trays and nourishments, and help stock nursing pantries while ensuring excellent patient service.

Experience in hospital food service is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required, with strong English communication and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to operate the CBORD Diet Office System.
• Excellent communication with patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient selections in the hand held computer per diet orders.
• Assist patients in selecting meals and explain basic diet information.
• Provide tray delivery and nourishments to patients.
• Stock food supplies for nursing units pantries.
• Act as liaison between patients and Food & Nutrition for service excellence.
