Job summary

The Valley Hospital-Paramus is seeking a Dietary Aide to help enter patient selections in the CBORD Diet Office System, assist patients with meal choices, and explain basic diet information to patients and families. You will also deliver trays, stock units, and handle meal service issues with excellent customer service.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of hospital food service experience; strong English communication and computer skills are essential

• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient selections in CBORD Diet Office System and ensure accuracy.
• Assist patients in selecting meals and explain basic diet information to patients and families.
• Serve as liaison between patients and the Department of Food & Nutrition for service quality.
• Provide tray delivery and nourishments to patients.
• Stock food supplies for nursing unit pantries and address meal service issues.
