Qualifications

• Meets with all patients on assigned nursing units to present and discuss the printed menu.
• Explains the patient meal order and delivery process to patients and family members.
• Maintains confidentiality in matters relating to patient/family and hospital information (HIPAA).

Responsibilities

• Prepares, delivers, and recovers patient meal trays for assigned units.
• Assembles trays per meal ticket requirements and delivers to patients.
• Documents food allergies and preferences in the MyDining system; refers concerns to the clinical dietitian as needed.
• Works with team to maintain patient satisfaction and supports department policies.
