Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is hiring immediately for full time Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide) at Ballad Health - Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, TN. The role involves helping patients with menu selections, assembling meals, and ensuring meals meet nutritional standards.

The position offers full-time hours, no prior experience required, and a fixed pay rate of $15.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand menu selections and coordinate with nursing to meet nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for allergies, sensitivities, and dietary preferences with caregivers and culinary team.
• Assemble meals according to patient menus and retrieve trays on time.
• Comply with federal, state and JCAHO regulations and HIPAA policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines and maintain sanitation of work stations and tray line.
• Monitor patients on specific diets and coordinate with dietitians as needed.
• Communicate issues to appropriate staff and complete required reports.
