Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring a PATIENT DINING ASSOCIATE (DIETARY AIDE) to support meal service at MUSC Orangeburg, SC. You will help patients with menu choices, assemble and deliver trays, and ensure meals meet nutritional requirements and timing.

Full-time schedule; flexibility is preferred. Training provided; willingness to learn is required. Competitive hourly pay with benefits package including health, dental, vision, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills required.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, and push food carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand menu selections and coordinate with nursing to meet nutrition requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for allergies, cultures and dietary restrictions with caregivers and culinary team.
• Assemble meals and retrieve trays per patient menu in a timely, accurate manner.
• Comply with HIPAA and confidentiality policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food and cleaning stations.
• Assist dietitians in monitoring patients on restricted or monitored diets.
• Communicate problems or concerns with patients to appropriate personnel.
• Complete daily/weekly/monthly reports as required by Morrison policies.
• Adhere to health and sanitation regulations and department procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
