Job summary

Morrison Healthcare is hiring Patient Dining Associates (Dietary Aide) for full-time and part-time roles at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, FL. The position involves assisting patients with menu selections, delivering meals, and ensuring dietary requirements are met within a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand menu selections and work with nursing to ensure nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for allergies, cultural or religious preferences.
• Assemble meals per patient menu and retrieve trays on schedule.
• Comply with federal/state/JCAHO standards and HIPAA procedures.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food and maintaining workstations.
• Assist dietitians and monitor patients on special diets as needed.
• Record daily/weekly/monthly reports per Morrison Healthcare policies.
• Communicate issues to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
• Adhere to sanitation regulations and department procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
