Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring Patient Dining Associates (Dietary Aide) in Kingsport, TN. The role supports hospital patients with menu selections, tray assembly and nourishment delivery. Full-time shifts run 12 hours, 6:00 am–7:00 pm; part-time 3:30 pm–8:00 pm, with rotating weekends.

Prior food service experience is required. The position advances patient safety and satisfaction while adhering to HACCP, HIPAA, and sanitation policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds and push carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand menu selections and work with nursing on dietary requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for allergies, cultural preferences, or other needs.
• Assemble meals according to patient selections and retrieve trays on time.
• Comply with federal/state regulations and HIPAA policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines and maintain sanitation of work areas.
• Assist dietitians with monitoring patients on special diets.
• Communicate issues to appropriate personnel promptly.
• Complete daily, weekly or monthly reports as required.
