Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, part of Compass Group, is hiring Patient Dining Associates (Dietary Aide) for both full-time and part-time roles at Ballad Health – Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, TN.

Roles involve assisting patients with menu selections, assembling and delivering meals, and ensuring compliance with dietary orders. Strong customer service and basic computer skills are a plus; background checks and a drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for allergies and preferences and for patient inquiries.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals accurately; retrieve trays from patient rooms on time.
• Comply with HIPAA and confidentiality policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines for handling food and cleaning work stations.
• Assist dietitians in monitoring patient diets when needed.
• Communicate problems or concerns with patients to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required reports as outlined in Morrison Healthcare policies.
