Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is hiring immediately for full-time Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide) at USA Health University Hospital in Mobile, AL. You will help patients with menu selections, assemble meals, and ensure accuracy and timely delivery.

Qualifications

Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
Basic computer and mathematical skills.
Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
Determine menu alternatives for patients with allergies, sensitivities, or cultural/religious preferences.
Assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection and retrieve trays on time.
Comply with federal, state, and JCAHO standards and HIPAA policies.
Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food and maintaining station cleanliness.
Follow infection control policies and department procedures.
Assist dietitians in monitoring patients on restricted diets or calorie counts.
Communicate problems or concerns to appropriate personnel promptly.
Complete daily/weekly/monthly reports as required by Morrison Healthcare policies.
Comply with health and sanitation regulations and department procedures.
