Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is hiring a Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide) for Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, AL. This full-time role offers a 40-hour work week with rotating weekends and a starting pay of $15.00 per hour.

Previous food service and patient dining experience is preferred, and training is provided. You will assist patients with menu selections, assemble meals, and ensure timely delivery while maintaining safety and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and ensure nutrition requirements are met.
• Collaborate with nurses and culinary team on menu options for allergies, cultural or religious needs.
• Assemble meals and retrieve trays on time according to patient selections.
• Comply with HIPAA, safety, and sanitation policies and HACCP guidelines.
• Communicate issues to appropriate staff promptly to ensure patient satisfaction.
• Complete daily, weekly or monthly reports as required by Morrison Healthcare policies.
