Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders comply with nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for patients with allergies, religious or cultural preferences.
• Assemble meals according to each patient’s selection and retrieve trays on time.
• Comply with federal, state and local regulations and HIPAA policies.
• Handle HACCP guidelines for food handling and sanitation.
• Assist dietitians in monitoring patients on specific diets.
• Communicate problems or concerns to appropriate personnel promptly.
• Complete daily, weekly or monthly reports per Morrison Healthcare policies.
