Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is hiring Patient Dining Associates (Dietary Aide) for Community Hospital in Syracuse, NY. The role supports patient meal service on a healthcare unit, ensuring accurate menu orders, timely delivery, and compliance with nutritional needs.

Positions available full-time and part-time with shift hours from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm; prior serving experience is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
• Coordinate with caregivers and culinary team for diet alternatives respecting allergies, cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences.
• Assemble meals according to patient menu selections and retrieve trays at scheduled times.
• Comply with HIPAA and facility policies; follow HACCP guidelines for handling food and cleaning stations.
• Monitor patients on restricted diets and assist dietitians as needed.
