Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is hiring Patient Dining Associates (Dietary Aide) at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, NY. Positions available as full-time and part-time with three 12-hour shifts and one 6-hour shift per week; wage is $19.63 per hour and training is provided.

You will assist patients with menu selections, coordinate with nursing and culinary teams, and ensure meals meet nutritional requirements while upholding safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders comply with nutritional requirements.
• Work with caregivers and culinary team to determine menu alternatives for allergies, sensitivities, and cultural preferences.
• Assemble meals according to each patient’s selection and retrieve trays on time.
• Follow HIPAA, HACCP, sanitation and safety policies.
