Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is hiring a full-time Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide) in Norwich, NY. You will help patients with menu selections, assemble meals, and ensure meals meet nutritional and timing requirements.

The role involves lifting up to 100 pounds, following HIPAA and HACCP rules, and collaborating with nursing, dietary staff, and caregivers. Training is provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to lift or move up to 100 pounds and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and coordinate with nursing to meet nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu options for patients with allergies, cultural or religious preferences, and other dietary needs.
• Assemble meals per patient selections, manage tray tickets and retrieve trays on schedule.
• Adhere to regulatory standards (federal/state/JCAHO) and HIPAA policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines for food handling and sanitation.
• Assist dietitians and monitor patients on special diets as needed.
• Document daily, weekly or monthly reports as required by Morrison Healthcare policies.
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations and department procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
