1. We are hiring immediately for part-time PATIENT DINING ASSOCIATE/DIETARY AIDE positions.
2. Location: Prisma Health Baptist Easley Hospital - 200 Fleetwood Drive, Easley, SC 29640. Note: online applications accepted only.
3. Schedule: Part-time; Days may vary, 7:00 am to 1:30 pm and 1:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Rotating weekends. More details upon interview.
4. Requirement: A food handler's card is required.
5. Pay Range: $17.00 to $22.29 per hour.

Job Summary

Patient Dining Associates work on assigned units, helping patients with menu selections, assembling, delivering, and picking up meal trays. They are part of the caregiving team, responsible for patient safety and satisfaction by ensuring meals are accurate, timely, and at the correct temperature.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist patients with understanding menu options and coordinate with nursing to meet nutritional needs.
• Determine menu alternatives for patients with allergies, sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, or religious preferences.
• Manage tray tickets, assemble meals accurately and promptly, and retrieve trays from patient rooms.
• Comply with regulatory standards, including HIPAA, and adhere to confidentiality policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines for food handling and station sanitation.
• Assist dietitians with monitoring patients on special diets.
• Communicate patient concerns to appropriate staff promptly.
• Complete required reports as per policies.
• Follow sanitation and infection control policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds and maneuver food carts.
